KUANTAN, March 20 (Bernama) -- The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Indera Mahkota branch, a party stronghold in Pahang, lost its acting head Ibrahim Sidek as well as 300 members when they quit the party Sunday.
They later submitted membership forms to join Umno to Indera Mahkota Umno division head Datuk Mohd Hazmi Yusof at a ceremony here.
Joining the group were Pahang PKR women's wing vice-head Izzah Mazlan and secretary Fadilah Abd Wahab, citing too many unresolved flaws in the party as their reason for quitting PKR.
Ibrahim said the decision was made after they lost confidence in the party's leadership, particularly in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said the party's direction was in disarray while importance was only given to the struggles of certain individuals.
